Welcome to my recipe blog! I hope I can give you some inspiration to try some new recipes. I started this because I was feeling in a rut with my cooking. When I would find a new recipe online I was saving the page but then my bookmarks were overloaded. This is an easier way for me to keep them organized AND to share them with my friends and family. I typically create a monthly menu that includes links to the recipes on here. I have not figured out how to upload my menu to the blog but if you are interested, send me your e-mail and I will get it to you. We are pretty plain eaters around here so nothing fancy but it's mostly kid friendly that way.

If you try a recipe, please leave a comment on how it was. Any advice or tips for that recipe would be great too.

Happy Cooking!

Sausage, Egg, and Cheese Souffle

SAUSAGE - EGG - CHEESE SOUFFLE from Christine Costabile
10 or 12 eggs, depending on size
3 Cups milk
1 Pkg. regular Jimmy Dean Sausage
8 or 10 slices of stale white bread - cubed
(I just leave fresh bread on the counter for a few hours)
salt and pepper to taste
1/4 cup butter
2 Cups shredded cheddar cheese

Brown Jimmy Dean Sausage, crumble and cool. Melt butter in 9X13 pan - top with cubed bread. Place crumbled sausage on top of bread.

In blender - mix eggs, milk, salt and pepper. Pour over bread and sausage. Top with shredded cheddar cheese. Cover and refrigerate overnight.

Bake in 350 degree oven for approx 1 hour.
Serves about 10-12 people...as long as there's other food on the table.

P.S. I often substitute a pound of bacon for the sausage and swiss cheese for the cheddar.
